Where it started

Oxygen FM wanted visitors, guests and advertisers to feel the station's energy the moment the lift doors open. The existing space was a plain white room with a single timber door: clean, but anonymous.

The reception had to carry a strong blue brand colour without turning cold, work as a waiting area for studio guests, and still leave clear circulation to the offices behind.

Seen in 3D first

Every surface, light and piece of furniture was modelled and approved before anything was bought or built. These are the renders the client signed off.

Decisions with a reason

We started with the wall that faces the entrance. A stone-effect feature wall now carries the illuminated Oxygen logo, framed by dark fluted panels and lit shelving so the brand reads from the door.
The reception desk is the piece everything else answers to. Its front curves in natural timber slats with a warm LED line, and the blue return picks up the logo without overwhelming it.
Opposite, a lounge of soft grey sofas, a round timber table and patterned rugs gives guests somewhere to settle before they go on air. Zebra blinds control the afternoon light.
For the management offices we designed executive desks in dark walnut with inset brass lines, built to the room sizes rather than bought off the shelf.
